The Craniofacial Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. (CFFP) is a non-stock, non-profit, non-sectarian, and non-government organization that was established by Dr. Teresita L. Tongson in the year 2000. The CFFP was duly registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) on 26 June 2000.

The CFFP can trace its roots to the St. Martin de Porres Charity Hospital (SMPCH) where, upon the recommendation of Dr. Teresita L.Tongson, a Craniofacial Department that basically catered to the needs of the cleft community was established on 28 September 1989. Right from the onset, a team approach was put into practice with the participation of the SMPCH’s Dental Department, headed by Dr. Juan Quejada; the Pediatrics Department, headed by Dr. Fe Canlas-Dizon; and the Anesthesiology Department, headed by Dr. Luisita Reyes-de Castro, all leading luminaries in their respective fields at that time. This approach, which is still being practiced at the CFFP to date, makes it possible for the Foundation to deliver quality surgical care and operations both at its Craniofacial Center and its Outreach Surgical Missions.

That Craniofacial Department has since metamorphosed into a multi-dimensional Craniofacial Center, located at 3578 Lingayen Street, Sta. Mesa, Manila, where the total comprehensive care of patients with deformities of the mouth, face, head; impaired speech; and burn victims are addressed. Backed by a Department of Health (DOH) Permit to Operate an Ambulatory Surgical Clinic, it now performs ambulatory and day surgeries at the Teresita L. Tongson Operating Room of the CFFP Craniofacial Center. Complicated surgeries are performed at a tertiary hospital, the Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, an affiliate of the CFFP.
