Volunteerism and The CFFP

The CFFP is an institution deeply steeped in the spirit of volunteerism. Guided by Christ’s teaching ….. “Whatever you do for the least of your brethren you do unto Me”, the foundation has survived the test of time and continues to practice the tradition. The CFFP remains unique to this day as one of the few organizations where volunteerism, in the true sense of the word, is still practiced. All individuals involved in the Foundation, both professionals and non-professionals, except for a few support staff, volunteer their services for free. Not only do they volunteer their services for the CFFP’s In-House surgeries, but also put aside their private practices for a few days to join the Outreach Surgical Missions conducted by the CFFP. Such sacrifice, both physical and financial, speaks highly of the exceptional character of the CFFP’s volunteers.

With volunteerism as the principal core value of the Craniofacial Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. (CFFP), one can describe the CFFP as a ‘house’ that volunteerism built. Several generations of volunteer surgeons, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, dentists, orthodontists, speech pathologists, nurses, support staff, and generous individuals who seek to lead meaningful lives have come and gone, but the CFFP continues to exist with the entry of like minded new volunteers.
